It's My Round App
March 2011
Application Design
I designed an application for a project where by you can sync the application with facebook profiles and see what preference friends and colleagues have for a drink at the pub. Rather than having to ask them all individually, you can go get a round in without having to ask what they'd like.
Grosvenor
Summer 2010
Print Design
Upmarket shopping destination. The challenge of these projects was to create original vector artwork for each brief to use in the materials created. The branding also had key type elements so by undertaking these briefs I developed an eye for ‘expert kerning’ techniques. Executions ranged from leaflets, streetliners, web graphics, pull up banners, offer cards, signage and plasma animations.
Penderyn Welsh Whisky
November 2009
As part of a University brief, I was asked to promote Welsh Whisky to commercial buyers, playing on the key brand values including the fact it is Welsh and the way it is distilled. The project had to include a promotional direct mail, a poster campaign for in-store use and a press advert for Whisky Magazine.
Portfolio Book
May 2009
As part of my A2 Graphic Art course, I compiled a portfolio book featuring my work from the last four years. It includes all the client work I have completed, along with in depth analysis and commentaries on my ideas and thought process for each brief. The book took 9 months to complete, and was finally printed at the end of April 2009. The cover was printed on 340g matte for the cover and 140g stock for the inside pages.
Beeding Crafty Identity
March 2009
Brand Identity / Print
I was asked to come up with a fresh, youthful and creative identity for a re-launch of a bead and craft shop. I came up with a concept that each colour strand represents various creative activities, and the endless creative routes the shop gives from the products it sells. I applied these principles across point of sale examples.
Harry's New York Steakhouse
July 2008
Brand Identity
I was approached to devise logo concepts for a new steakhouse and bar in Birmingham. The client wanted a ‘Gentleman’s Club’ style. I came up with several concepts, a classical identity, and a more sans serif typography lead design.
Swordfish Investments
October 2006
Rebrand Concept Boards
Work Experience project at CGI Squared, I was briefed to design and develop a full rebrand of Swordfish Investments. I created four concepts and presented these at the end of the week. Each board contained an analysis of the typography used, potential brand imagery, colour palettes and other applications of the brand.
Light
January - December 2006
Print / Artwork
Graphic Design project exploring slow shutter speeds and capturing light forms. I took a series of photos across the year capturing various light and then documented these into a booklet, and used the most aesthetic to create three panoramic light montages, One based around the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, a second european version, and a final festive montage. These were printed on 3mm matte boards to go alongside the book that was published at the end of the project.
